Profile

Meric Koksal Akkoc, Ph.D. is Professor of Faculty of Pharmacy at Yeditepe University She obtained her B.Sc. in Pharmacy in 1997 from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey.  She then completed a M.Sc. in 1999andPh.D. In 2003 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Institute of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University. During her graduate program, she worked as a research assistant. In 2003 she got a position as an Assistant Professor at Yeditepe University where she still has been. As a medicinal chemist, her research interest includes drug discovery and development. Her papers and projects are focused on synthesis, design and structure activity relationships of potential molecules as an analgesic, antiinflammatoryandanticanceragents.
