  • Versatile in Human Genetics, Pediatric Hematology, Medical Biostatistics and wide range of computer skills; data presentation and management.
  • Expanded Experience in the field of Family Genetics:
  1. Genetics counseling (diagnosis and take action) for most known congenital diseases.
  2. Final diagnosis of most genetic diseases whether dysmorphic syndromes, ambiguous genitalia, chromosomal anomalies, neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases, mental retardation and inborn error of metabolism. Some cases are diagnosed in MUCH and enthusiastic investigations are accomplished in collaboration with Labs inside and outside Egypt.
  3. Estimation of recurrence risk for certain genetic disease in families with reported cases.
  4. Making advice regarding premarital questions for families with bad family history and provisionally diagnosed genetic problems.
  5. Evaluation of couples with repeated abortions or early neonatal deaths in absence of significant obstetrics causes, and with uneventful routine laboratory testing.
  6. Prenatal diagnosis of genetic diseases documented among some families in collaboration with obstetricians who will aid in sampling of amniotic fluids or CVS at an assigned date.
  7. Evaluation of prenatally detected fetal malformations for discrimination between lethal and non-lethal phenotypes and to estimate mortality risk in different genetic disorders. This may aid in decision making about termination in lethal cases.
  8. Offering suggestions for possible pre-implantation testing with centers making this service for high risk families or infertile elder couples.
  9. Publication of rare cases and implementation of scientific projects could be finalized in collaboration with the referring team.
  10.  Educational plan for children with neuropsychiatric disorders, autism and allied syndromes, mental retardation. Provision of individualized teaching protocols and advice for inclusion in ordinary schools.
  11. Online consultations are welcome on daily basis.
  • Mastered the diagnosis and management of congenital syndromes, chromosomal aberrations (numerical and structural) and child dysmorphology with multiple discipline management since 1989 in the outpatient clinics of Mansoura University Children's Hospital and Italian genetic research centers. The work included Genetic counseling: pedigree construction, determination of the inheritance pattern, prediction of the future recurrence risk to take action for better family planning. In addition to multidiscipline plan for those children with special Needs:-
  1. ADHD.
  2. Autism, Autistic Disorders.
  3. Children with Behavior Problems.
  4. Disorder of Childhood and Adolescence.
  • Led almost 15 years in the field of Pediatric Hematology especially those with Genetic basis; implemented many research projects and finalized many talented publications in Peer-reviewed Journals (International Journal of Hematology, Hematology, Indian Journal of Pediatrics, Journal of Medical Sciences, Haema Journal; Journal of Hellenic Society of Hematology).
  • Proficient in computer work: Microsoft office, data presentation, word processing, statistical management, research works including evidence based medicine, implementation of scientific projects and formulation of projects into manuscripts ready for publication in Peer-reviewed Journals.
  • Seven years experience of the medical work in Saudi culture on private basis; excellent handling of families of acute and critically ill children with perfect communications and follow up of cases transferred to governmental and teaching hospitals.
