Biography

Dr. Erin Cassidy-Eagle is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. She specializes in the treatment of mental health disorders in adults and older adults and works with patients in the Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic at Stanford. She has practiced as a Clinical Psychologist for more than 20 years as a licensed, clinical geropsychologist with extensive experience working with older adults and specialized training in conducting cognitive-behavioral interventions with individuals and groups. She is also board certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. She has done extensive clinical and research work in long term care settings, and has experience treating patients who suffer concurrently from major medical conditions. Her research focuses on adult and geriatric sleep disorders, cognitive functioning and their relationship to other medical and mental comorbid conditions in older adults. Recently she has also launched projects targeting the integration of mental health care into primary care settings serving older patients.
