2015-2017 Organized and sponsored the International Anatolian Twin Congress on Sexual Health & Neuroscience on 1-3 May, 2015, at Kozyatağı-Hilton Hotel, Kadıköy-İstanbul.

2010-2014 Did research on female sexuality and orgasm. Investigated ESR (Epxanded Sexual Response) Made different national and international surveys on female sexuality. His survey “İstanbul Report” on the sexuality of Turkish women is still continuing.
2002-2010 Worked on psychoactive substances and plants, psychopharmacology, experimental epilepsy, behavioral sciences, physiological effects of hallucinogens and psychoactive plants, female sexuality. Made some theoretical studies on perception, perception management, mind control, behavior modifications.
1997-2002 Worked as an independent scientist on experimental epilepsy; long term effects of febrile convulsions; effects of neonatal epilepsy on adulthood; synaptic plasticity induced by opiates in hippocampus; animal models of epilepsy, such as kindling, kainic acid, pilocarpine, pentetrazol, febrile seizures etc.; cellular mechanisms of epilepsy and learning; behavioral models and tests such as water maze, elevated plus maze, radial arm maze etc.; neuropharmacology, psychopharmacology; effects of metabotropic glutamate receptors on epilepsy; electrophysiology, such as cellular electrophysiology, current clamp, voltage clamp, patch clamp; electrophysiological effects of anti-epileptic drugs (such as vigabatrin, alprazolam, phenytoin, gabapentin, propophol etc.) and psychoactive drugs; paired pulse technique to measure cellular GABAergic inhibition; long term potentiation (LTP); behavioral and electrophysiological mechanisms of ictal discharges, learning and LTP; various ictal slice models (CA3); metabotropic glutamate and NMDA receptors.
1994-1997 Worked with Prof. Dr. Rutecki and Prof. Dr. Sutula on experimental models of epilepsy ( kindling, kainic acid, PTZ and pilocarpine models); cellular mechanisms of epilepsy; extracellular paired pulse recordings at CA1, CA3 and Dentate areas of hippocampus; intracellular and extracellular (in vivo and in vitro) recordings in hippocampus (voltage and current clamp techniques in CA3 pyramidal and dentate granule cells in vitro); behavioral models in animals; epilepsy models in animals; LTP and learning at the Dept. of Neurology, University of Wisconsin, Madison.
1992 Worked with Prof. Dr. Ben Westerink on the microdialysis technique at the Dept. of Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Groningen/Netherlands. Worked on glutamatergic, dopaminergic and GABAergic changes in substantia nigra and striatum during seizures (PTZ etc.) and under the effects of some antiepileptic drugs (Vigabatrin-GVG, gabapentin etc.).
1992 Worked with Dr. Jane Mellanby at the Dept. of Experimental Psychology, Oxford/England on tetanus toxin model of epilepsy; GAD activity in epilepsy; paired pulse inhibition, extracellular recordings in vivo.
1992-1994 Worked at DETAM (Experimental Research Institute of Istanbul University) on experimental epilepsy; animal models of behavior and psychology; morphine physical dependence, heroin addiction; worked with Prof. Hikmet Koyuncuoğlu on the physiological and psycho-pharmacological basis of opiate dependence and addiction.
1990-1993 At the Department of Pharmacology, İstanbul Medical Faculty worked with Prof. Hikmet Koyuncuoğlu on the treatment opiate, morphine and heroin physiological dependence and addiction.
1989-1990 Worked with Prof. Robert Adamec on the kindling model of epilepsy in rats and cats; the effects of CFR (corticotropin releasing factor) on behavior, depression and anxiety at the Dept. of Psychology, University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, Canada.
1987-1989 Worked on the kindling model in rodents and cats; experimental epilepsy; neuro-psycho-pharmacology at the Dept. of Pharmacology, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty.
1985-1986 Worked on the clinical psychiatry with Prof. Tuncer Özkan at the Dept. of Psychiatry, İstanbul Medical Faculty.
