Dr. Virginia Tirino is a Professor at University of Campania "L. Vanvitelli"in the department of Experimental Medicine - Section of Histology. She received Her PhD from Second University of Naples and degree from University of Naples. She has published 51 articles in the international publications.

Scientific Societies

Mesenchymal Stem cells differentiation into bone and Cancer Stem cells of solid tumours. Cell cultures and establishment of melanoma, sarcoma and lung primary cell lines and their subsequent phenotypic characterization by flow cytometry. Isolation and characterization of cancer stem cells from breast, lung, gastric and sarcomas using flow cytometry and electronic and magnetic cell sorter and put into culture of the same. Isolation and characterization of stem cells from dental pulp,adipose tissue, umbilicalcord and amniotic fluid by flow cytometry and cell sorter and put into culture of the same. Expertise in cell biology, flow cytometry and cell sorting.
