Biography

Dr. Robert Clegg is an Associate Professor of Administrative Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at California Health Sciences University (CHSU) in Clovis, CA. Aside from his work at CHSU, he is a Certified Core Faculty Member for the College of Health and Human Services at National University where he teaches a vast array of online health administration, public health and allied health courses for baccalaureate and masters-level students. Previously, he was the Lead Faculty Area Chair (LFAC)/Certified Faculty Member for the College of Health Sciences/Nursing at the University of  Phoenix-Central Valley Campus. Prior to his academic career, he spent nearly a decade as the Risk Manager at a large acute care hospital in Fresno, CA and proudly served in the United States Navy for nearly 16 years. Academically, he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Master of Public Health at Fresno State, as well as a Doctorate in Human Services with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration (graduation with distinction) from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Furthermore, he has a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

Philanthropically, Dr. Clegg volunteers much of his time on the Board of  Directors for the American Red Cross-Central Valley Chapter and serves on the Alumni and Volunteer Corporation, Inc., for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Fresno State.

Research Interest

His areas of research primarily consist of patient safety, quality of care and public health.
