Biography

Dr. Beck has over 20 years of experience as an educator in progressive leadership roles.  Provided instruction at the graduate, doctoral, and pre-and post-licensure programs in multiple settings. Taught multiple courses at the RN-BSN and graduate levels, supervised graduate level research projects, and served as a Chair of a MSN program. Background includes experience as a Consultant, College Chair Manager, Administrative Supervisor, Associate Professor, Nursing Education Instructor, and Faculty Mentor. 

In the academic environment worked in traditional classroom settings, blended modalities, and online. As a Campus College Chair, provided executive leadership for undergraduate and graduate nursing and health care programs at seven campuses. Developed strategic plans, supervised operational activities, and evaluated the educational programs. Participated in annual internal audits, and participated in CCNE, NLNAC and HLC accreditation. Recruited, mentored, and evaluated faculty, and monitored quality in the classroom. In order to identify needs for faculty development and curriculum revision, met regularly with all key stakeholders within and outside of the university, as well as monitoring student evaluations, and faculty performance parameters. Designed faculty development programs and made curricular revisions to improve academic quality and promote positive student outcomes. Served on curriculum committees at the national level and participated in a regular review of courses in the curriculum at multiple universities.
