Biography

Dr Raffaele Rauso obtained his medical degree at 24 years old; after the medical graduation he performed a 5 years training in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Second University of Naples (Italy), during that period he also performed 2 fellowships in Plastic Reconstructive and Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery; one at the Univeritattspital of Basel (Switzerland), and another at the G.S.R. Facial Plastic Surgery Institute in Hyderabad (India). Once he became consultant in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, only a year later he obtained a Master's degree in Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Milan; moreover, after the master’s degree, he obtained, after 3 more years, a Ph.D. in Plastic Surgery, Dermatology and Human Anatomy at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, and in the meanwhile he also obtained a post-graduation Diploma in Microsurgery. He has published several papers in the most reputed journals in the field of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery, Cranio-Facial Surgery and Cosmetic Medicine; he also published several book chapters in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine. Actually he is reviewer for several scientific medical journals, and is a full member of the most reputed european scientific societies in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, such as E.A.F.P.S. (European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery), E.A.C.M.F.S. (European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgeons), etc; moreover, actually is the elected President of the Italian Federation of Aesthetic Medicine (F.I.M.E.).

Dr Rauso is also a volunteer plastic surgeon in charity missions performed in Africa, South America, and poor countries, taking care about craniofacial deformities, such as cleft lip and palate, hand surgery and post burn deformities.

Nowadays is Assistant Professor at the University of Foggia (Italy), and works in private practice in the filed of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Medicine in the three biggest Italian cities (Naples, Rome and Milan) with his equipe, founded by him in the 2013 known as “chirurgiadellabellezza”.
Dr Raffaele Rauso is an Italian Plastic Surgeon; he obtained his medical degree at 24 years old, later on he became consultant Cranio-Facial Surgeon, then performed a PhD program in Plastic Surgery, Dermatology and Anatomy, then obtained a post graduate Diploma in Microsurgery, then a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Surgery and one more in Breast Reconstruction.

Dr Rauso is the founder of the plastic surgery network called “CHIRURGIAdellaBELLEZZA” located in the main Italian cities, such as Rome, Naples, Florence and Milan. Actually he is the President of the Italian Federation of Aesthetic Medicine (F.I.M.E.), and he is also Professor at the University of Foggia.
