Biography

I was born the 4 August 1963 in Pontedera Pisa Italy. PhD doctor algrant holder at Laboratoire de Génétique Biochimique et Cytogénétique INRA Jouy-en-Josas Paris France “Genetic characterization of Italian beef cattle breeds using microsatellite markers” PhD awarded on 06.13.1994. Researcher in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Pisa since December 1998. Director of Laboratory of Genetic Biotechnologies Università degli Studi di Pisa Italian kennel Club ENCI accredited awarded the title of Associate Professor in the competition of the national scientific qualification in the year 2013.Since November 2016 Associate Professor in Animal Breeding and Genetics Department of Veterinary Science University Of Pisa Italy. I am a mom; I love pets and all animals and plants. I love the country life. I am French-speaking. I am a great reader of: literature, history, essay, art and biographies both in Italian and in French. I love Impressionist artists and whenever I'm in Paris I visit the Orsay Museum and the Ninpheas of Monet. I love French culture. I love the Mountain, hiking in the mountains and the snow.

Her research focused on the animal genome by molecular methods to i) characterize live stock biodiversity; ii) develop molecular traceability tools; iii) characterize biodiversity and selection for different dog breeds.
