This laboratory has developed several novel techniques for molecular, cellular and small animal-based research to focus on three major areas of study: 1) exploring the properties of the terminal differentiation of adult muscle stem cells homeostasis in aging and mechanism behinds, 2) creating human neuron-muscle-junction (NMJ) disease models in vitro and in vivo, 3) studying the processes involved with fibrous scar formation and prevention in the injured and diseased tissues, and 3) Bioengineering to build three dimensional (3D) soft tissues to repair wound defects with scar less healing.
