Research Interest

I have a particular interest in understanding the early pathophysiology of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) at the cellular and molecular levels so that new medical treatments can be developed to improve symptom control, to eliminate inflammation, and to prevent the development of Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma.
