Biography

Dr. Jim Clarke is a Professor of the Practice of Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he teaches courses in Environmental Assessment, Environmental Characterization and Analysis and leads a Freshman Commons Seminar on Electric Power Generation:Energy Choices and Environmental Consequences. Jim is a Board Certified Environmental Scientist with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists and a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He was a member of the former Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste & Materials and a consultant to the NRC Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards.
