Biography

Dr. Julio E. Guzmán Freire is a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from the University of Puerto Rico and also a private practioner at San Juan, Puerto Rico. He completed his education in dental medicine from UPR School of Dental Medicine in 1974. He is having more than 30 years of teaching experience. He received many prestigious awards during his career and also an active member of many associations.

• Honorary Citizen, Moca, Dominican Republic — award given for humanitarian services to the indigent children born with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies. June 2001.
• Recognition by the Puerto Rico Pediatric Dental Association and the Dean of the School of Dentistry, for outstanding humanitarian services in the treatment of patients born with cleft lip and palate. Dec. 2006.
