Biography

Dr. You-Wen Qian, is an Associate Professor and Director of Hematopathology Division in the Department of Pathology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Qian completed his medical education from Wannan Medical College in China, an AP/CP Pathology residency at Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ-NJMS) and a Hematopathology fellowship at UCLA-Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Qian is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Hematology as well as Clinical Informatics. He also obtained a Masters from University of California at Davis and a PhD from Rutgers University, both in Medical Informatics.

  • Flow cytometryimmunophenotyping to diagnose hematopoietic malignancies
  • Towards flow cytometry automation in clinical laboratories
  • Lymphoma pathogenesis in viral infection induced lymphomas
