Biography

I am the medical director of The Miriam Hospital Pathology Department and Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  I received my Medical Degree from Beijing Medical University and a PHD in Neuroscience from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine. After my PHD training, I joined the residency and fellowship program in pathology at Rhode Island Hospital, Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I served as the Residency Director of Pathology at Alpert Medical School of Brown University and as the Chief of Service at Department of Pathology, Roger Williams Medical Center.  My current role at The Miriam Hospital is to oversee daily practice, coordinate laboratory clinical services with the medical staff of the hospital and teach pathology residents and medical students.  My research interests lie in tumoral pathology, particularly in the area of new diagnostic or prognostic markers.
